Early December 2015
- Narrowed down to 3 builders - Carlisle (Sacramento 27), Boutique Homes (St Tropez 25) and Sherridon Homes (Vegas 27)
- Visit the display houses for those three
- Narrowed down to either Carlisle or Boutique Homes
- Decided with St Tropez 25 from Boutique, with adjustment. The blog post on floor plan here
- Update: St Tropez 25 is now Riviera 25
2016
29 January 2016 - Copy of contract and initial house siting + elevation arrived on email.5 February 2016 - Colour and Electrical appointment. The post on colour selection here and tapwares here :)
8 February 2016 - PDF copy of electrical plan received
10 February 2016 - Colour appointment variations list and addenda received
22 February 2016 - Formal notification that our land would be 6 months late
29 February 2016 - Boutique called, they said they can only push price fix for another month (i.e. end of November). I'm panicking.
1 March 2016 - New sales agent from the land developer called. Confirmed that expected title is October/ November but it still depends on weather etc as the work haven't even started for our stage.
7-14 March 2016 - back and forward on new pricing for Riviera 25. We decided to keep our current PwC
15-31 March 2016 - agreed on extension for fixed price. Land developer update on expected title date.
5-6 June 2016 - Finally signed the building contract, post-contract variation and other documents
Late June 2016 - Arranging finance with our broker
July 2016 - Still arranging finance as initial valuation fell short of up to $40K. Received a notification that our land is further delayed until January 2017 (argh!)
August 2016 - Visited Melbourne for weekend to see the initial stage of our estate
November - December 2016 - Title pushed back to January 2017

- Early feedback from Land developer received.We need to extend our eaves from 1.5m return to 3m returns, similar to render. Also changed our driveway colour to Tusk

- 6 Apr - Energy assessment report received
- 18 Apr - Developer approval
May 2017
- 2 May - Final Engineering drawing received
- 4 May - Building permit obtained
- 5 May - Final plan received
- 10 May - File passed to construction
- 17 May - Site work start
- 26 May - Slab pre-pour inspection
- 27 May - Slab Pour
- 29 May - Slab Completed and Invoice Received
June 2017
- 5 June - Frame to be delivered on site
- 13 June - Frame complete
- 14 June - Frame inspection
- 23 June - SS called to tell me that he's assigned to Lara Geelong and another SS will be taking over the build
- 13 July: Lock-up invoice received
- 28 July: Fixing invoice received
August 2017
- 4 August: Fixing inspection scheduled
